CLEAR VIEW TINY HOME

About

Clear View is a small 8 x 12 tiny home cabin. It is best suited for two people with a four person maximum allowed. There is no electricity (save for a solar nightlight), is heated by a wood stove, and an outhouse is provided nearby.

Clear View is located up the hill past the former lodge. Drive past the solar panels and garage which will be on your right. You will then see an outhouse on your left. Clear View will be just past the outhouse on the left side of the dirt road.  You can drive to it year round if you have good winter traction.

If conditions allow you may park at Clear View, otherwise you may park in the upper parking lot and walk there – only about 200ft away.

For indoor fires using the woodstove there is wood available in the woodshed behind the cabin at no extra cost. You need prior permission to have an outdoor fire due to safety concerns. Firewood for outdoor fires is available at an additional cost, see below.

Winter Season Guidelines:  Please click here for information.

Wood Stove Instructions:

Have paper, kindling and larger wood available.  Open the draft dial on the front of the stove all the way, set kindling on top of paper and light.  It is OK to leave the door slightly open when starting.  NEVER leave the hut when with the door handle unlatched.  Load heavier wood as needed and turn the draft down overnight.  In winter expect to feed the fire in the middle of the night.  There is an axe and maul in the woodshed for your use - be careful!
