CLEAR VIEW TINY HOME - NOW AVAILABLE YEAR ROUND FOR OVERNIGHT USE

About

Clear View is a very small 8 x 12 cabin. It is best suited for two people with a 4-person maximum allowed. There is no electricity (save for a solar nightlight) and it is heated by a wood stove. Wood is available in the woodshed behind the cabin. An outhouse is provided nearby. If conditions allow you may park at Clear View, otherwise you may park in the upper parking lot and walk there – only about 200ft away (follow signs). You will find firewood and kindling in the woodshed. You need prior permission to have an outdoor fire due to safety concerns and to pay an additional $25 for firewood.

Clear View is up the hill past the lodge, garage and to the right.  You can drive to it year round if you have good winter traction.

Important Information

  • Please put all compostable trash in the large black composting barrel provided in back.
  • Do not remove wood ashes from stove to dispose of them.

Winter Season Guidelines:  Please click here for information.

Wood Stove Instructions:

Have paper, kindling and larger wood available.  Open the draft dial on the front of the stove all the way., set kindling on top of paper and light.  It is OK to leave the door slightly open when starting.  NEVER leave the hut when with the door handle unlatched.  Load heavier wood as needed and turn the draft down overnight.  In winter expect to feed the fire in the middle of the night.  There is an axe and maul in the woodshed for your use - be careful!
